Robert Earl Council, AKA Kinetik Justice Is An Incarcerated Activist And Founding Member Of The Free Alabama Movement Which Fights For The Humane And Constitutional Treatment Of Prisoners In The Alabama Dept. Of Corrections.

Kinetik Justice has been incarcerated for thirty years, and in that time, he has organized state-wide and nationwide work strikes, filed class-action lawsuits, and participated in hunger strikes in his fight for prisoner rights.

Kinetik has faced retaliation for his activism, including being severely beaten by officers, causing permanent damage to his eye. During his incarceration, he has spent nearly 11 years in segregation or solitary confinement, often as punishment for his activism. Despite these consequences, Kinetik has continued the fight, most recently participating in the documentary, The Alabama Solution, to expose inhumane conditions in Alabama.

In addition to fighting for incarcerated rights, Kinetik is also fighting for his own freedom. Kinetik was convicted of murder in the course of a robbery, which enhanced the charge to capital murder. He hopes to prove the enhancement was unjustified and to have his case re-sentenced.
